4 Day School Week Information
Paradise Schools has adopted a four-day school week schedule for the 2024-2025 school year.
Why?
- Foster work/life/school balance.
- Encourage and increase quality family time.
- Sustain staff retention and increase high-quality candidate recruitment.
A 4-day week will encompass 144 instructional school days from August to May. It would include 1 Friday each month as a staff development day.
How?
Surveys were sent to Paradise Schools families to explore the 4-day week. We then followed up with open forums, Q&A opportunities, focus groups, and board meeting presentations of findings. The Governing Board approved the schedule at the November 28, 2023 meeting.
